SLF Funds Justice
Providing Funding

Third-party funding is the practice where a third party, unrelated to the lawsuit and with no direct interest in the proceedings, provides capital to a plaintiff in order to finance the costs of litigation in return for a share of any financial recovery from the lawsuit.

Access to Justice

Swiss Legal Finance offers funding to those who are unable or unwilling to fund their claims due to lack of capital or fear of exposure to the significant cost of dispute resolution.

Tipping the Scales of Justice

Access to justice often requires abundant capital, which causes a great imbalance of resources between average and wealthy litigants. This impedes legal access and causes plaintiffs with compelling cases to defer or even abandon legal resources. Swiss Legal Finance is here to tip the scales of justice back into a fair balance by directly combatting this inequality in the legal system.

No Financial Risk

SLF bears the full financial risk for the claimant by financing all legal fees and external costs. If the case is lost, you have nothing to pay.

Equal Access to Justice

SLF facilitates access to justice by financing all types of legal or arbitration proceedings.

Initiate Proceedings

SLF allows individuals and corporations to initiate legal proceedings without having to bear the cost.

Intervention at Any Stage

SLF intervenes at all stages of the proceedings – before or as soon as they are introduced, during the appeal phases, or at the time of recovery.

Litigation funding allows lawsuits to be decided on their merits, and not based on which party has deeper pockets or strong appetite for protracted litigation.
